The connection between physical and mental health is inarguably one of the strongest ones to ever exist. The mind and body go back to back, both having a huge impact on one another. If someone is not feeling well mentally, he/she will not feel well physically.
Physical activities in our daily lives:
There is a huge difference between “feeling” physically fit and “looking” physically fit. In order to live a healthy lifestyle, one must have a healthy and consistent work out routine. That said work out routine must be implemented in their day to day lives. Our physical activities must coexist with our resting time and our diet. If these three things do not go hand in hand, we wouldn’t be able to live a healthy and physically fit life. Physical activities include anything from a 5 minute, light jog to a four-hour long hike on a mountain. The exercise of any sort is good for the mental and physical health of a person.
The effect of mental health on our daily lives:
If someone is going through mental stress or is facing any sort of mental health issue, that person will not be able to perform even the simplest tasks the right way. This person’s behavior, job, and his/her entire routine will be affected. Our mental health has an impact on everything and anything we do in our lives. We must make sure we keep it in check.
The relationship between physical activities and mental health:
If we look at the scientific point of view, after physical exertion, our body releases a hormone called endorphin, which is also known as the “happy” hormone. Many people refer to exercise as “therapy” as it helps them think clearer and feel lighter. In order to refrain oneself from overthinking and overanalyzing, one should make a habit of exercising or playing a sport which will help that person to feel better about himself/herself. Other than the fact that exercise releases endorphin, it also acts as a good distraction for someone who is going through mental problems or any life problems that lead to mental stress. That being said, exercise is considered to be one of the healthiest ways to spend one’s leisure time.
